Beyond The Basics

You take Drivers Ed before you Drive, Now Get Ready for  Dive Boat Ed before you Dive on a Boat!

The PADI Boat Diver Course
In this course, you will be familiarized with the skills, knowledge, planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems, hazards and enjoyment of diving from a boat.  It will also build an increased awareness and knowledge base about basic understanding of boat functions and procedures, and navigation techniques from working with charts to GPS (Global Positioning System). With this new knowledge you will develop confidence to dive on boats, a better appreciation and respect of the responsibility that a Boat Captain (and his crew) has and with this new awareness, act appropriately.

You can earn this specialty with 2 ocean dives.  During your Adventure or Advanced Open Water, the Elective Boat Dive may also be counted toward Boat Dive One of this specialty.

PADI Boat Diver Specialty is for you whether you've never made a boat dive or you've logged dozens, this course can benefit almost every diver because different boats in different parts of the world do things differently.
