This class allows you to enter the underwater world as a certified diver at 15 years old and above.
You will find the training to be fun and easy. There are a couple of flexible options
for your open water certification program. These options include when
you take your class, pool and ocean dives to how you actually
accomplish each of these activities.
One option is that your class can begin right away with our new self-paced, on-line virtual classroom called Next
comes a beautiful weekend in Malibu, with time divided between the
classroom at Malibu Divers and diving in a heated, Olympic sized
swimming pool learning the safe use of scuba gear. A second weekend is
spent diving in the ocean at scenic Catalina island (one of the top ten
dive destinations in the world!).
Classes do not have to be consecutive weekends. The Deluxe Catalina weekend
includes ferry to and from the island, overnight hotel, and one day
diving at the underwater marine park (Casino Point) in Avalon, and the
second day diving aboard a 65' dive boat sailing out of Avalon and
visiting other parts of Catalina island. Your choices for your Catalina
Weekend's is entirely up to you! And it doesn't end there, we offer
additional options to extend your dive experience while you are there!!
On your second day of diving, you can upgrade your weekend with a
choice of the following specialties:
Do
you have a tendency to get cold easily? If so, we now have drysuits
for you to try diving warm and dry! Now you can add it to your class
experience!! Join in - with a little extra time in a pool session with
your instructor for an orientation, you can complete your open water
course in a drysuit.

you need to do is let us know which option you would like to enroll in
at least one week prior to the course start date (to allow time for
your home study). If you're not sure about the options or need more
