The PADI organization has expanded the minimum age for PADI eLearning student divers to include 10, 11 and 12 year olds as of October 1, 2009 for Junior Open Water (10+) and Junior Adventure Diver (10+) and Junior Advanced Open Water (12+).  

(Note: you must be 10 years of age or older (for eLearning) to get started now or 24 hours a day! It is the BEST way to learn! Also, GSGLA, Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles and BSA, Boy Scouts programs require that scouts  must be 12 for those who are registered for the Spring or Summer Camp; you will receive their eLearning access codes to sign-up - do not register without them, no credits will be issued!)

Beginning Scuba (Open Water) Certification

Advanced Open Water Certification

Enriched Air / Nitrox Certification (minimum age is 15 years old)

Instructor Development Course - IDC (Pro level training) (minimum age is 18 years old)

PADI eLearning is internet based (online) course work that you can access from anywhere via the world wide web. With PADI eLearning, you can sign-up and complete the knowledge-based dive training from the convenience of your home, office or on the road, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

PADI's eLearning system gives you the flexibility to study course material at your own pace. However, during the course, you can access the support of a PADI Professional at Malibu Divers by email or phone to get guidance and help about the topic you are studying.

After completing the online knowledge-based portion of the course, the PADI eLearning system plugs you into training with your PADI Instructor at Malibu Divers for the best part: diving! eLearning makes your diver education more convenient, more effective and more fun than ever!

PADI's eLearning system brings student divers all the benefits of computer based training, including student guidance, knowledge of results, flexibility and learner-based pacing. PADI eLearning provides the flexibility to attend knowledge development with minimal, fixed classroom time to help meet the demands of daily schedules and maximizing in water experience.
